Spring Snow

Well we had a spring snow tonight. It started snowing about 8:15pm and hasn’t stopped yet. Finley has sat at the back door fascinated by it and telling us he wants to go out.

Samantha had her scientific debut at the science fair tonight. She tested what color dye would best dye white carnations. Her hypothesis was that it would be green (Jen thought blue) - Jen was right!

Finley’s First Egg Hunt

Finley went with his cousin Elijah to the Angle Lake Neighborhood egg hunt. He had a great time. He especially liked picking up the eggs and smashing them. Oh well. Here are some pictures and a video (sorry it is long - I haven’t quite figured out the editing yet so I can put just a small amount).

Finley is 11 Months Old Today

I can’t believe it. Finley turned 11 months old today. The time has gone so fast. Tyler and I were looking back at some baby pictures and he seems so different now. He is 21 lbs (almost 3 times his birth weight) and about 2 1/2 feet tall (can’t get him to sit still long enough to measure him). He enjoys playing outside (he sits at the back door and says “ot” “ot”), playing with the dog (”pupa”) and his sister. He has learned several new words over the last few months and uses them intentionally (dada, mama, hi, pupa, bite, hot, ouch, bye bye, Josh (his uncle), baby). Walking is his latest challenge. He can stand and has taken 1 step toward something but never more, but is still a super fast crawler. I think he’ll walk for a little bit and then take off running. He likes to be every where and in everything.
