The City of Burien just did a great remodel on an old park – Matheson Park. We hadn’t been before, but have gone twice now. We love it there and it is our new favorite park. They have a toddler play area and swings which Declan LOVES.

Ever since I had Declan I have been working SLOWLY towards running a 5K. So far I haven’t run one, but I did walk/jog one a few weeks ago. It was not easy as I have been practicing without a stroller and Tyler had to work so I took the boys with me. I was proud that pushing 50lbs of stroller/boy I averaged a 17 minute mile.

When Auntie Megan was on spring break we took a road trip up to Skagit Valley to look at the tulips. The weather was sunny, but cold and windy – we still managed to have a great time. I got all the way up there and forgot my camera – good thing Auntie Megan brought her’s.

We had a fabulous time celebrating Tyler’s 30th birthday at the end of March with friends and family. He wasn’t too excited about the big 3-0, but so far so good! He’ll survive! Happy 30th Birthday Tyler. We love you!

Finley started his first session of swim lessons at the YMCA. He started out not liking it very much and having a hard time following directions, but now enjoys the class. Too bad our last class is on Saturday.

The boys and I took a last minute trip to the zoo on a fabulous March Day. Finley was our tour guide. He also helped Declan experience his first ice cream cone – Blue Goo.

Easter Egg Hunt
We met up with some of our friends at a park in our neighborhood and had an Easter Egg Hunt. Each family brought eggs and we hid them for the kids to find. It was so much fun and way more laid back than the community center hunts.

Messy Finley
Our nephew Elijah has called Finley “Messy Finley” on occassion because he loves to get dirty. One morning Finley woke up before us, got into the freezer and took out his leftover frosty. I set Declan down quickly and when I came back Finley had taken the frosty out from hiding and was feeding Declan.

Finley took one of the last pictures of Sassy. He adored her and followed her everywhere. She was very patient with him. She died at the end of February. He has gotten over the fact that she has died and has now asked for a new dog. If mommy has her way it will be a LONG time.
