Our preschool teacher has a wonderful tradition of taking the kids downtown Seattle to see the Teddy Bear Suite, the Gingerbread Houses and the Carousel. This isn’t my favorite field trip because we lost Declan when he was about 18 months old and it is kind of crowded and ALWAYS cold. But we ventured out and had a good time. Thankfully Daddy could come with us too.
We had a fun time exploring over the holiday season.
Christmas Ships
I had never gone before, but it sounded like fun. Ships go through the sound all lit up and stop and different ports to sing songs. We headed down to the Des Moines Marina for one of the shows. It was fun, but a little chilly.
Holiday Shop Gift Distribution
Our preschool has a fun tradition of letting the kids shop for their family with pennies at the school’s shop of donated items. We have been the recipients of so many funky things, but the boys have been so proud of the gifts they gave.
Lemonade
This is also a SUPER fun preschool tradition – drinking lemon juice through candy canes. Our good friends Melisa, Ada and Josie dropped some off at the house and boys were in heaven. So yummy.
Baking and Decorating Cookies for our Neighbors and Family
We love to bake, but this holiday season seemed so rushed that we didn’t get as much done as we normally like to do. Here are a few shots of us prepping some goodies for the holidays.
Xbox on the Big Screen
Tyler had to go in to do some ordering/inventory so we headed in with him since the club was closed and the boys got to play Xbox Kinect Star Wars on the BIG SCREEN (Big is an understatement). They were in heaven.
Redondo Lights and Sub Zero Ice Cream
We went on our annual trip to see the redondo lights and stopped at Sub Zero on our way home. It was pretty cool. You mix up your ice cream base and they freeze it right there for you with liquid nitrogen.
