We had an interesting time getting our Christmas tree yesterday. Our usual place was closed and we went to 2 other farms before finding a tree. We have a beautiful, fragrant tree now.

This is the tree we were going to get and then we found a better one, but now that I am home I realize we didn’t take pictures in the field of that tree. I’ll post pictures once it is all decorated.

At the end of September we went to the zoo with Jen’s family. It was a lot of fun. The highlight of the trip was when Finley got to feed the Giraffe. I think that it was really Tyler’s favorite part too. We had a great time looking at the animals and headed to Red Mill Burgers afterwards for a yummy burger.

Tyler and I took Finley to the Puyallup Fair one evening in September (just took me forever to upload the pictures). He really seemed to like it, especially the animals and “hot fries”. Here are some pictures of him enjoying the fair. I can’t get the ones of the animals to upload. Don’t know why, but I’ll keep trying as that and the chocolate milk samples were his favorites.

Finley went to the dentist for the first time on Wednesday. He went to see our good friend Jessica who let him play in the chair. Good news - no cavaties! Now we just have to get him to brush his teeth instead of playing with his toothbrush.

We are a little behind in our blogging. At the end of September Samantha turned 12. We celebrated with our traditional trip to the Spaghetti Factory in Seattle. Here are some pictures.

We have enrolled Finley in a local cooperative preschool for toddlers. The program is designed for parents and their children to play, sing, dance and just have fun together. Basically it is an organized playgroup. We had our first class tonight.

Finley had a blast. There are 13 other toddlers in his class and he had a great time playing with them sometimes, but mostly playing with mommy. We played with shaving cream, water, sand, cars, climbing toys and most importantly we had a snack.

Here are some pictures of his first day. He was so tired when we got home he went to bed about an hour early. Hope he doesn’t get up in the middle of the night.
